NHS drama will perform the play at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, and 2 and 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23, in the Lawrence E. Griffin Performing Arts Center at Newark High School. Tickets are $5 for children and seniors, $8 for adults, and free admission for children under 3. Purchase tickets by clicking here.

Newark City Schools celebrates 30 students every month who are recognized for doing the right thing. The students and their families are honored during a luncheon that is sponsored by a local business and features entertainment from a group within the district.

2022 Newark High School graduate Rylan Celajes graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Criminal Justice degree after just two years.

Several Newark City School students got to experience the life of working artists in conjunction with a Midland Theatre show entitled “The Firebird. Photographs of the students’ work were shown on a screen behind the orchestra as they played.
